The economic development firm and the international marketing leader, both multi-award winners, will focus on creating strategies for their municipal, county, state and private developer clients who want to identify and market their economic opportunities to traditional travelers.
"Major foreign investment in our cities has long been courted, and tourism is an established economic development tool, but until now, no one has developed a tailored action plan for converting regular visitors into investors for specific areas," said Sharon McCormick, Director of Business Attraction & Marketing for RMA. The experts will provide clients with a multi-faceted approach, beginning with research, data analysis and positioning. From there, they will develop investment attraction strategies, investment alliance programs and business development & marketing strategies tailored to connect the area to the right type of tourists. Once travel and tourism tactics are in place and message points secured with the proper communications, then the team will launch into the economic development tactics, establishing initiatives to make it easy for a visitor to invest by having all the resources in place from expediting the permitting process to working with lending institutions, brokers and the legal process.
